How to piss off Jehovah's Witnesses

  • *Knock Knock*
  • Jehovah's Witness: Hello I would like to inform you about the Church of the Latter-day Saints
  • Me: I would LOVE to buy some cookies
  • Jehovah's Witness: I don't think you understand, I'm trying to give you the word of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
  • Me: I'll have a box of do-si-dos, and two boxes of the Dulce de Leche if you have it.
  • Jehovah's Witness: You don't seem to be cooperating with me when all I'm trying to do is save your mortal soul.
  • Me: Hold on, I'll get some money, can you please have my cookies ready when I come back?
  • Jehovah's Witness: ...

A Movement Emerges

Have You Ever…

…poured something down the drain, tossed something in the trash, or gotten rid of something in a way that you shouldn’t have? A lot of people have. It’s a bad idea, even on a small scale. But imagine that bad idea on a much larger scale.

Birds that fly in flocks will often change course, but they get to where they are going by working together.

The Start of an Equation for Justice

In 2006, a ship sailed from Europe to the Ivory Coast, in West Africa, and unloaded 400 tons of liquid that had been used to clean oil drums. The waste landed at more than a dozen public sites around the city of Abidjan. Tens of thousands of people were poisoned; 17 died.

It’s illegal for a country to dump toxic waste in another country. But it still happens. That’s not justice, is it?

Around the world, garbage, hazardous waste, and toxic chemicals create injustices. And those injustices are linked to the poverty, hunger, and disease endured by millions. As the green movement gains momentum, it is clear that environmental issues cannot be addressed without also addressing issues of justice. Saving the planet must go hand in hand with protecting basic rights.

JUSTICE

Through the ages and across the world, people have always yearned for justice. And yet justice - for Earth and all its inhabitants- contiinues to elude us.

I’ve started my new Justice Book :D

Prepare for only posts only about the environment :)

Is it OK to commit a crime to save the life of a child?

Would it make a difference if:

…you would be saving a 45-year-old instead?

…the 45-year-old was your dad?

…another child/person will die if you save this one?
